JSC Nova Linia CEO Yevhen Baranov : “Having examined the global experiences of DIY-retail chains we came to the conclusion that the tempo of modern living makes people less interested in the DIY-format as they don’t have enough time to make their house a real dream on a piecemeal basis. That is why Nova Linia is the first company in Ukraine to offer an absolutely new retail format - “Home Improvement” - providing interior ideas in line with the latest trends, which we have brought to life in our hypermarket.”

The renovated Nova Linia hypermarket in Zaporizhya (1-E Nikopolske Shose) opened its doors on July 21st. During the opening weekend visitors could enjoy festivities such as a concert by “Skryabin”, a spectacular laser show and could also win interesting prizes. During the opening ceremony Nova Linia made charitable contributions totaling UAH50,000 in support of Zaporizhya Maternity Hospital #9.

Nova Linia’s hypermarket in Zaporizhya («Nova Linia – Design and Quality House») was built utilizing an absolutely new modern format.

According to JSC Nova Linia CEO Yevhen Baranov: “Having examined the global experiences of DIY-retail chains we came to the conclusion that the tempo of modern living makes people less interested in the DIY-format as they don’t have enough time to make their house a real dream on a piecemeal basis. That is why Nova Linia is the first company in Ukraine to offer an absolutely new retail format - “Home Improvement” - providing interior ideas in line with the latest trends, which we have brought to life in our hypermarket.”

The new hypermarket has a design studio with professional designers providing free advice and more than 150 showrooms with turnkey solutions for renovation and interior design of kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms. Moreover, the hypermarket has a convenient navigation system and panoramic roof, which removes the need for artificial light during daytime hours.

More than 40,000 people visited the Nova Linia hypermarket in Zaporizhya during the weekend, demonstrating the popularity of the chain throughout the city.

About the company:

Nova Linia is a leading Ukrainian retail chain. Nova Linia’s first hypermarket opened in Kyiv in 2001 and became the first home improvement retail outlet in Ukraine. In 2002 the company became co-owned by Dragon Capital and in 2004 Swedish investment company East Capital also acquired a stake in the chain.
