Dragon Capital Recognized As Most Professional Securities Firm, Dmytro Tarabakin Named Personality of Ukrainian Stock Market in 2012
Dragon Capital was recognized as the most professional securities firm in Ukraine in 2012 and its Managing Director Dmytro Tarabakin was named Personality of the Ukrainian Stock Market in the 15th annual survey of Ukrainian securities market professionals conducted by domestic business weekly Business.
“2012 was a year of challenges for us on all fronts: trading volumes shrank on weaker interest from market participants, competition almost disappeared, and the state continued to provide very little support for the market. But we are not going to give up and will steadfastly continue with our efforts the way have done over the past 13 years. There are many reasons not to abandon our cause and to believe that we will finally reach out to people to make them understand that the stock market is not a group of speculators but a major indicator of domestic business activity and an additional source of investment inflows for the economy. We are confident that we are doing the right thing,” said Dmytro Tarabakin, Managing Director, Dragon Capital, during his speech at the awards ceremony.
To ensure maximum objectivity in determining the winners of the Financial Rankings 2012, the procedure was divided into two stages. In the first stage, 10 best nominees were identified in each of the selected markets. After this, an expert council comprising highly regarded representatives of the banking, insurance and investment industries chose the winners in each category.
