Kyiv, November 11, 2010 — Dragon Capital, a major investment bank in Ukraine, acted as Sponsor of Ukrainian Investment Forum “Attracting Investments in Times of Change”, organized by CFA Ukraine, Ukrainian Society of Investment Professionals, in Premier Palace Hotel (Kyiv, Ukraine).

The Ukrainian Investment Forum provides opportunities for owners and executives of top Ukrainian companies to evaluate effective ways of capital raising in challenging economic times and to network with leaders of the local investment market including investment and commercial banks and private equity funds.

Forum participants included representatives of the IMF, World Bank, EBRD, IFC and other international financial organizations as well as foreign and domestic stock exchanges (UX, London, Warsaw, Vienna, Frankfurt). Panel discussions were focused on private equity financing, public placements and debt capital market opportunities.

Kamil Goca, Managing Director of Private Equity at Dragon Capital and Director of newly created Europe Virigin Fund, touched upon options to attract private equity funding, while Maxim Nefyodov, Director of Investment Banking at Dragon Capital, spoke about the possibilities of attracting public capital for Ukrainian companies.

“The recent quantitative easing by the U.S. Fed was positively received by investors globally and we anticipate a more favorable environment for public placements by Ukrainian companies. Despite volatility, we expect a range of successful IPOs and secondary offerings next year,” said Tomas Fiala, Managing Director of Dragon Capital.
