Dragon Capital Acquires Smart Plaza Obolon in Kyiv

31.07.2019
URE Holding Limited, a member of the Dragon Capital group of companies, has finalized the agreement to acquire Smart Plaza Obolon, a 13,000 square meter shopping and entertainment center in Kyiv developed by A-Development. The deal value was not disclosed.

Smart Plaza Obolon was opened in January 2019, and has a gross leasable area of more than 9,000 square meters. It is located in a densely populated residential area in Kyiv near the Minska metro station. The anchor tenants include Silpo, Comfy, KFC and Eurasia.

“Smart Plaza Obolon will become the fifth (and third in Kyiv) property in our retail real estate portfolio of more than 170,000 square meters,” said Tomas Fiala, CEO of Dragon Capital. “We believe that its location in the heart of Kyiv’s Obolon district and its neighborhood shopping center format are Smart Plaza Obolon’s undisputed advantages, and we plan to develop it to attract even more customers.”
