Dragon Capital Named Best Ukrainian Securities Firm in 2006
Kyiv, March 29, 2007 – Dragon Capital has been recognized as the Most Professional Securities Firm in 2006 in the ninth-annual survey of Ukrainian securities market professionals. The survey was conducted by leading domestic business weekly Business.
The award comes on top of previous awards for Dragon Capital for its undisputed leadership on the Ukrainian stock market in 2006. In 2006, the bank’s brokerage arm accounted for nearly one-third (32%) of the total trading volume on the PFTS, Ukraine’s primary exchange, or double the share of its nearest competitor.

Tarabakin was named the Personality of the Ukrainian Stock Market by Business in 2004. “The Ukrainian market has finally started to attract international attention due to its rapid growth and increasing liquidity, so we find it very rewarding to receive such recognition for our work.”
Dragon Capital has consistently made it into the top three in the Business survey since entering the Ukrainian market in 2000. In this year’s rankings, the firm beat out local rivals Kinto and Concorde Capital to take top spot.
The Business accolade adds to four other honors Dragon Capital received for its accomplishments in 2006: Best Equity House in Ukraine from Euromoney; Top Deal in Ukraine (Rodovid Bank IPO) from Finance New Europe; Top Stock Trader from the PFTS, and Investor of the Year from the Lyudyna Roku (“Person of the Year”) national awards program.
Dragon Capital achieved unqualified success in 2006, acting as lead manager and sole bookrunner on 12 of the 16 IPOs/private share placements in Ukraine and raising $450m in new equity capital in the process.
