Dragon Capital Becomes Largest Ukrainian Stock Broker for 10 Years

On the eve of its 10th anniversary PFTS, the country’s primary securities exchange, named Dragon Capital the largest stock broker for the past ten years.

Kyiv, June 22, 2006 – On the eve of its 10th anniversary PFTS, the country’s primary securities exchange, named Dragon Capital the largest stock broker for the past ten years. 

Dragon Capital beat up to a hundred other banks and brokerage houses that have been trading shares on the PFTS. The company claimed the top spots in the PFTS annual rankings for all years of its existence starting 2000. The actual turnover in Ukrainian stocks was even higher as the PFTS statistics do not account for transactions with Ukrainian ADRs/GDRs and deals made OTC. 

This year, Dragon Capital already attracted nearly USD 500 mil. in equity and debt financing for local companies, including IPOs, private placements and debt financing for such Ukrainian companies, as Velyka Kyshenya, LuAZ, Ukrinbank, Rodovid Bank, KP Media, Bank Forum, Nova Liniya. Dragon Capital’s share of the PFTS stock trading volume was over 36% in 5M06.
