Olena Bilan has more than 20 years’ experience in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. She joined Dragon Capital as an economist and fixed-income analyst in 2006 and became Chief Economist in 2009, assuming responsibility for macroeconomic forecasting and analysis of economic developments, credit, and currency markets in Ukraine. Since 2022, Olena has been managing research department at Dragon Capital, supervising macro, sectoral and corporate research. Olena and the research team have been recognized as the best forecasters for Ukraine by Focus Economics since 2019. Olena was named a top-three analyst in the Ukrainian financial market in the Thomson Reuters Extel survey of global institutional investors. She serves as the co-chair of the Board of Directors at the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and is a member of the Supervisory Boards at the Center for Economic Strategy. Prior to joining Dragon Capital, Olena worked at IER, a leading Ukrainian think tank, and investment fund SigmaBleyzer.

She holds a Master Degree in International Economics from the EERC program at the University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (currently the Kyiv School of Economics) and a degree in Computer Science from National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. |
