Kyivstar — Acquires 105 MW solar power assets for $81m

Nasdaq-listed Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest mobile operator and leading digital player, has acquired six solar power plants (SPP) with combined capacity of 105 MW in the western Lviv region, spending UAH 3.6bn ($80.8m). The acquired assets generate around 113 GWh of electricity annually, supplying it to the national grid under a special feed-in tariff. In 2025 the SPPs earned $16m of revenue and $14m of EBITDA. The deal increased Kyivstar’s in-house power generating capacity to 118 MW — enough to satisfy around 30% of the company’s annual consumption.

Kyivstar — Reports solid 1Q26 financials, parent commits to continue investing in Ukraine

Nasdaq-listed Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest mobile network operator and leading digital player, reported 1Q26 financial results, with revenues and EBITDA inching up by 0.6% q-o-q to $323m and $173m, respectively, but net income declining by 5.6% q-o-q to $85m. ARPU increased by 3.1% q-o-q to UAH 166 ($3.8), while the subscriber base edged down by 1.8% to 22.0 million. End-March cash fell by 23% q-o-q to $353m, while total debt increased by 1.9% to $487m, resulting in net debt of $134m, up 6x q-o-q, for a Net Debt/LTM EBITDA ratio of 0.2x. Quarterly CAPEX declined by 48% q-o-q to $67m.
