Astarta Holding — Reports mixed 2Q21 operating results

WSE-listed Astarta Holding, Ukraine’s largest sugar producer, reported 2Q21 sugar sales of 55 kt, down 25% y-o-y, and average selling price of $627/t, up 62% y-o-y and 9% q-o-q. Quarterly grain and oilseed crop sales stood at 81 kt (-19% y-o-y), including 79 kt of corn (-21%) at $180/t on average (+6% y‑o-y, -10% q‑o‑q). Sales of soybean oil and meal totaled 4 kt and 24 kt, down 49% and 34% y-o-y respectively. The average selling price of soybean oil doubled y-o-y to $1,372/t and that of meal increased 41% to $528/t. Lastly, 2Q21 raw milk sales totaled 24 kt, up 5% y-o-y, averaging $421/t in price (+17% y-o-y).
