Eugene Baranov joined Dragon Capital in 2005. He leads the infrastructure deal sourcing and portfolio company management. Over the past 20 years, he has successfully managed many transactions in the energy, real estate, retail, machine building, FMCG, e-commerce, financial and media sectors. Since 2025 Eugene leads the team of Amber Dragon Infrastructure Fund I from Dragon Capital’s side. Prior to joining Dragon Capital, Eugene held senior investment positions with responsibility for portfolio company development and execution of strategic real estate transactions, including spin-offs and divestments of industrial assets.

He has extensive experience serving on and chairing the boards of companies across the CEE region in the real estate, financial services, retail, construction materials, FMCG, industrial manufacturing, and oil & gas sectors. He also served as CEO of Nova Linia, one of Ukraine’s leading DIY retail chains, prior to its acquisition by Epicentr in 2013. Eugene graduated summa cum laude and holds a master's degree in International Economics from the Kyiv National Economic University. |
