Raiffeisen Bank Aval, controlled by Raiffeisen Bank International since 2005, is the 5th largest bank in Ukraine, accounting for 5% of total domestic banking assets. The EBRD acquired a 30% stake in Aval in 2015.

Raiffeisen Bank – Reports 2022 net profit of UAH 1.5bn

Raiffeisen Bank earned net profit of UAH 1.5bn ($46m) in 2022, down 69% y-o-y, the bank said in a press release. Annual operating income totaled UAH 11.4bn, double y-o-y, while impairment provisions stood at UAH 9.5bn, up from UAH 0.1bn in 2021. The bank reported its total capital adequacy ratio (NBU standard) at 18.6%, up 3.2pp q-o-q and 4.9pp y-o-y.

Raiffeisen Bank [Not Rated] — Profitability strengthens in 3Q22

According to NBU data, Raiffeisen Bank earned 3Q22 net profit of UAH 1.8bn ($50m), +133% q-o-q, bringing 9M22 net profit to UAH 2.4bn ($77m), -36% y-o-y. Total assets increased 9.3% q-o-q and 31% y-o-y in UAH terms, with net loans +2.1% q-o-q and +16% y-o-y. Customer deposits rose by 6.7% q-o-q and +26% y-o-y in UAH terms. The capital adequacy ratio (under NBU methodology) came in at 15.4%, -0.8pp q-o-q and +1.7pp YTD.
